The center gemstone is a 2.09 carat cushion cut sapphire (not lab created) from Sri Lanka (Ceylon). Sapphires from Sri Lanka generally are more lively and brilliant than sapphires from other origins and this particular gem is no exception. The sapphire also has a very nice cut and is eye clean. The color is a light-medium periwinkle cornflower blue. The trillion cut white sapphires are 4mm in size and are eye clean as well. The 14k white gold setting weighs 5 grams so the ring has a nice thickness (yet is still comfortable!) that will stand up to a lifetime of wear. | ||
