1.0 ctw Aquamarine and Diamond Ring in 14k white gold
Aquamarine is a soft and beautifully hued gemstone and has the feel of a time gone by.
MyJewelrySource has a nice collection of vintage and antique styled
ring with natural aquamarine. Our rings have hand picked gemstones,
milgrain details and engraving. Many vintage rings are very delicate
and light weight and may not stand up to every day wear. Our rings
are cast in solid gold and are not hollowed out so they will be
strong and durable. We do also work in other metals like platinum
and palladium. One of our newer vintage style rings is our
GR-1128. This ring features a wonderful 6x8mm oval aquamarine
which is set with a trio of diamonds on each side. This classic
style is given that heirloom feel with the exceptional engraving on
three sides of the band. Please take a close look at our pictures
and notice that the engraving and milgrain detail were also added to
the basket setting. From every angle, this ring is finished with
amazing detail. Another aquamarine ring that has a vintage design in
our past present future ring,
GR-1124
and
GR-1125. This ring is offered in 14k
white gold or yellow gold and features a brilliant round cut
aquamarine flanked by pear shaped white sapphires on either side. We
love the combination of the round aquamarine with the clear white
pear cut white sapphires. The design is unique and classic at the
same time. Whether you prefer the ring in white or yellow gold, the
engraving on the band stands out beautifully.
Enhancements: Although cutting is the most basic enhancement method necessary to
display the beauty of a gemstone, there are many fascinating methods by which man has demonstrated his ability to
draw maximum color, luster, clarity and brilliance from natures earthbound treasures. A basic understanding of
these enhancement techniques will add to your appreciation of the beauty, durability and value of the
gemstone jewelry you already own,
or plan to purchase in the future. Aquamarines generally have a greenish hue when mined and are then heated to
bring out the blue color permanently. Heat treatment is normal, industry accepted, permanent and does not require
special care. You should assume that the aquamarines sold at MyJewelrySource are heat treated unless stated
otherwise.Buying an Aquamarine: Aquamarine in sizes over 5 carats is considered important. The gemstone is
expected to be eye clean and should have a soft to medium blue color. Deeper colors of aquamarine are rare with
the deepest most saturated color being the most expensive. Aquamarine care: Do not use an ultrasonic cleaner. Avoid sudden temperature changes, steaming and
contact with cosmetics, hairspray, perfume or household chemicals. Your aquamarine jewelry may be cleaned with a
soft-bristled brush or a cloth with plain or soapy water.
