breath away when you open the box. The Ceylon sapphire at the center is nearly 3 carats in size and it has a
desirable, saturated cornflower blue color. The sapphire is beautifully cut as well and it is full of
sparkle. The sapphire is very nearly eye clean and it has two tiny birthmarks off center that are less than
1mm in size. They are not visible under all lighting. They are only occasionally visible and we think that
the superior color of this sapphire more than compensates for the tiny imperfections. We have selected a
substantial 18k white gold setting to showcase this fabulous gem. The setting is made with over 9 grams of
18k white gold and packed full of large pave diamonds, nearly 3/4 carats in all. A single row of
diamonds encircles the sapphire and three rows are set in the band. The fine quality diamonds are bright,
white and better than eye clean. They truly make the sapphire come alive. The shank is slightly domed and
the gallery below the stone has a lovely scroll pattern. This breathtaking and exceptional piece would make
