The sapphire is a very nice, wearable size at 1.4 carats, 6x8mm. It has a spectacular royal navy blue hue. It has an excellent cut and is eye clean too. And wait until you see the sapphire outside; wow, the color is amazing! The oval cut has an streamlined shape which is flattering on the finger. The sapphire is held very securely by four sets of double prongs so you can see that this engagement ring has been designed for a lifetime of carefree wear. On each side of the sapphire are four full cut round diamonds. Each diamond is almost 6 points each. And since the diamonds are also well cut, near colorless, and better than eye clean, they are brilliant and lively. You will probably appreciate the low profile of the setting (height off the finger) which makes this sapphire engagement ring a very wearable and comfortable design.The matching band is contoured at the center so that it will sit flush against the sapphire engagement ring.
