It has the most wonderful medium lemon-banana yellow color which is exactly the color of a fancy yellow diamond and the radiant faceting is also similar to how diamonds are cut. Sapphires don't always sparkle but when the gem material is very good and with a superior cut, the gem will be very lively, just like the sapphire in this ring. This sapphire is very rare since it is completely natural and unheated. Less than 1% of sapphires used in jewelry are unheated. The setting features baguette diamonds on either side which complement the faceting of the sapphire. We have set the sapphire in a luxurious 18k white gold setting, and the basket is adorned with tiny round diamonds and milgrain edging. The four sets of double prongs hold the stone securely! The white gold setting shows off just what fine quality the baguette and larger round diamonds are. The band is finished with milgrain edging and hand engraved detail on the sides.
