The sapphire is a substantial size, at 3.65 carats and is completely natural and unheated, a rarity for larger size sapphires. The antique cushion cut is also very difficult to find making this a truly one of a kind gem. The sapphire is from Sri Lanka (formerly known as Ceylon) and is gorgeous, vibrant and lively with its medium tone, beautiful cornflower blue hue. It is set in a trellis style mounting with a single, fine quality, tapered baguette diamond on each side.
