Not only is the 8mm princess cut amethyst featured in this ring just breathtaking but the mounting itself is quite spectacular. The amethyst weighs 2.20 carats and has an intense royal purple color. It is clean and very well cut. The semi mount is set with 0.50 carats of very near colorless diamonds which bring the lovely amethyst to life. The whiteness of the diamonds and the deep rich color of the amethyst combine to create a striking, eye-catching contrast. Notice too all of the beaded and filigree detail; this ring is a feast for the eyes from every angle. The gram weight of the setting is substantial at about 5 grams. This will feel great and be very comfortable on the finger. Additionally and perhaps more importantly, it will easily hold up beautifully to a lifetime of daily wear.The optional matching band is straight and will sit flush against the amethyst ring. | ||
