| Special Features: | This great looking engagement ring features a very hard to find 3.18 carat square cushion cut sapphire that is over 8mm size. We are constantly on the look out for special stones like this one and they come around once in a great while. The sapphire has a beautiful light cornflower blue color and is highlighted with a touch of periwinkle. The color is so pretty. Not the traditional darker blue you may think of when you imagine sapphire. This is lighter and brighter and looks stunning in both bright light and dim light. The darker sapphires tend to look a bit inky and dull in dim light. But you won't experience that with this unique sapphire. We have graded the sapphire with a VS2 clarity grade because the sapphire does have a tiny birthmark (less than 2mm) that is sometimes faintly noticeable in brighter light. To us, the rarity of the gem (the size, shape and color) more than compensate for the small inclusion and we felt that this sapphire is still a great find! The sapphire is featured in this gorgeous and dramatic wide band ring with a touch of old world flair. From the bead set and bezel set round diamonds to the delicate milgrain edging, this ring does have a certain vintage feel to it. The beautiful undergallery creates a smooth finish on the underside of the ring and the low profile makes this an ideal choice for an engagement or wedding ring that will be worn daily.
