The standard, industry accepted treatment for emeralds involves the filling of surface-reaching fractures with oils, resins, polymers and/or waxes to reduce the visibility of the fractures and improve the emerald's clarity.

Additional Notes: Non-treated emeralds of appreciable sizes are exceptionally rare and valuable. We currently do not offer non-treated emeralds on our website.
