Peridot: A fine quality peridot has such an inviting color, a luscious and saturated apple green hue. The contrast between a fine qualtiy peridot and equally fine diamonds is very striking and if you're looking for a piece with that certain 'wow' factor, we have several that are wonderful options. One of our new favorites is our peridot and diamond ring GR-3112, which features a diamond halo style setting with a 7mm trillion cut peridot. Besides the eye catching combination of the peridot and diamonds, the ring is also unique because of the shape of the peridot. The trillion cut is not often seen and there aren't many ring mountings out there for them either. In fact, we did a custom design for our GR-3112. We love also that the band is simple and high polished so if you want a stunning ring without it being too fussy, we think this one is perfect. Peridot rates 6 1/2 to 7 on the Mohs scale of hardness. Enhancements: Cutting is the most basic enhancement method necessary to display the beauty of a gemstone. Peridots are not known to have any other method of enhancement. Peridot Care: Do not use an ultrasonic cleaner on your peridot jewelry. Avoid sudden temperature changes, steaming and contact with cosmetics, hairspray, perfume or household chemicals. Clean only with a damp cloth or soft brush with room temperature water. |
