The sapphire definitely looks like an intense canary yellow diamond. The sapphire is cut into an emerald cut with distinctive clipped corners. The cutting is amazingly well done and there is absolutely no window in the stone. We see many emerald cut sapphires and it is very rare to see one without a window! (A window is caused by poor cutting and results in dead spots or colorless areas in the stone.) The setting features baguette diamonds on either side which complement the faceting of the sapphire.  We have set the sapphire in a luxurious 18k white gold setting with 18k yellow gold double prongs which hold the sapphire. The basket is adorned with tiny round diamonds and milgrain edging. The white gold setting shows off just what fine quality the baguette and larger round diamonds are. The band is finished with milgrain edging and hand carved detail on the sides.
