We just love the combination of the radiant cut sapphire and the elegant baguette diamonds in this ring. The sapphire is a Ceylon sapphire with a rare radiant cut and a gorgeous medium cornflower blue color with a tiny hint of periwinkle. The faceting on the stone is excellent and there is no window, where the color is lost and you can see right through the stone. The sapphire is just over 2.5 carats and is a great size for a special ring. It's not too small and not too big and will definitely be noticed! The setting features baguette diamonds on either side which complement the faceting of the sapphire. We have set the sapphire in a luxurious 18k white gold setting, and the basket is adorned with tiny round diamonds and milgrain edging. The four sets of double prongs hold the stone securely! The white gold setting shows off just what fine quality the baguette and larger round diamonds are. The band is finished with milgrain edging and hand engraved detail on the sides. This ring is perfect for those of you looking for a striking and more important size sapphire ring that is still very elegant and understated. Sapphires are the hardest gemstone and are an excellent choice for a ring that will be worn daily. |
