This very fine, one of a kind ring features an extremely hard to find 4
carat cushion cut pink sapphire!! Oh my, this stone is a real beauty. It
has a decadent soft baby pink color and is quite sparkly too. Our buyer
regularly attends large gem shows in search of the finest quality pink
sapphires, and she hand selected this particular sapphire among hundreds of
other stones because of its truly special color and rare size. The
sapphire is eye clean with the exception of a tiny flaw about 1mm long
near one side of the stone which is only visible when the stone is viewed
from the side. It is not visible straight on. Eye and loupe clean
sapphires are exceptionally difficult to find particularly in sapphires of
this significant size, and so we thought that the overall beauty of the
gem far outweighed the tiny, only sometimes-visible flaw. We wanted
to find a way to draw attention to the sapphire and also protect it and so
we chose a bezel setting framed in the finest of round diamonds. These
diamonds are better than eye clean, which means they are very sparkly, and
they are near colorless too. We felt that this special sapphire deserved
to be paired with the same, exceptional quality diamonds in order to
create an heirloom quality piece that will wear beautifully over a
lifetime of daily wear. The diamonds are framed with a milgrain border for
added detail. This striking ring makes a bold and sophisticated statement
and would make a perfect signature piece or even engagement ring. |
