The amethyst measures 5mm in size and this is on the petite side, slightly smaller than a 1 ct square cut diamond. The checkerboard faceting on top brings life to the amethyst which dances with flashes of hot pink, lavender and purple as it catches the light. The entire top surface of the setting is covered in tiny round diamonds, and the amethyst is held in a diamond-studded, bar style setting which protects it in an elegant way. Milgrain detail highlights the piece and adds a vintage look.
